Al Meera awarded ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System Certification

Doha-Qatar – September 2020: BSI has awarded Al Meera Consumer Goods Company (Q.P.S.C.) ISO 22000:2018 certification for its food safety management system. The ISO handover ceremony was held on Tuesday, where British Ambassador to Qatar, Jon Wilks, presented the award to Al Meera CEO Yousef Ali Al Obaidan.
The certification recognises Al Meera’s robust food safety programme for its food control operations and safety standards in ensuring that all products placed on the shelf are absolutely safe for shoppers.
The ISO 22000:2018 is a global standard setting out the requirements of a food safety management system. It is used by organisations around the world to manage food safety by providing a consistent and objective standard which outlines quality and safety for companies and consumers.
Congratulating Al Meera on its achievement, Ambassador Jon Wilks stated:
