Job Description:

• To be an integral part of the Project Management Team under the umbrella of the Asset and Property Management Department.
• To provide CAD drafting services for enhancing design proposals prepared by the Architects, Civil Engineers, Project Managers within APMD and other Al Meera departments as required.
• Provide AutoCAD technical support including graphical images, perspectives and As-Built drawings as directed by the Technical Services Department.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare design options proposal for New Mall and supermarket buildings as per plot size and Al Meera building regulation.
• Prepare new supermarket and Hypermarket interior design layout with selling area, warehouse, fresh area, F&V display area, checkout counters, Customer counters etc.
• Visit Supermarket sites and prepare As-Built drawings in preparation of proposed renovation and modification as required by Operation and commercial team.
• Assemble information from the Architects, Civil Engineers, Project Managers within APMD to prepare
• CAD design layouts as guided and required.
• Coordinate with Operation and commercial team and finalize CAD design layouts as guided and required by them and also obtain their approval.
• Work in accordance with design programs and guideline as defined by the APMD.
• Review all the information made available to progress the CAD and Graphics work. This may include photo of site or ad-built CAD files, sketches, reports, etc.

Note: The Draftsman/CAD Designer is not responsible for the design accuracy and compliance with codes and regulation.

The role of Al Meera is to provide an overview and guidance on the following.

• General compliance with the development brief,
• Maintenance of the design intent
• Oversight of general design with respect to directions and risks

Education & Qualifications:

• Three years Polytechnic diploma engineering course in Civil or Architectural or MEP engineering.
• Formal AutoCAD course and training certificates.
• Any basic course for buildings MEP knowledge and exposure.
• Course on Sketch Up and 3D Max, Studio etc. will be added advantage.

Experience & Skills:

• Excellent, written, read and spoken English Language Skills.
• 15 years over all experience in preparation of building's Architectural, Civil, Structural and MEP drawings layouts.
• Minimum 10-year experience in supermarket and Hypermarket layout design with a well-recognized supermarket chain company.
• Excellent work experience in preparation of supermarket refrigeration design layout and knowledge of all refrigeration indoor & outdoor units.
• Very good understanding about the requirement and arrangement of cold rooms in warehouse.
• Good exposure in preparation of shelving arrangement for supermarket selling area and warehouse racking layouts
• Through knowledge about checkout layout arrangements and available products options for layout flexibilities.
• Excellent work experience in preparation of design layout for Butcher, Fishery, Hot food, Bakery, etc.
• Knowledge on all kitchen equipment for fresh areas is a must.
• CAD skill showing an outstanding portfolio of work showing a range of quality buildings.
• Proven experience with a variety of CAD programs including AutoCAD, Coral-draw, Revit etc.,
• Good organizational skills and able to produce work under pressure.
• Draftsman must be a Team Player with all interdisciplinary coordination.
