Job Summary:

• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixture of heating, drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, cement, plastic solvent.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure and locate leaks.
• Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and to establish the sequence of pipe installations and to plan installation.
• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage, fixture instructions, using measuring instruments such as rulers and measuring tape.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power machines such as pipe cutters, pipe threading machines and pipe-bender.
• Install pipe assembles, fitting, valves, appliances such as dishwasher, heaters and fixtures such sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and involved in the construction or repair of houses, building of other structures.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to work under pressure with less supervision

Skills:

• Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the plumbing trade, skills in the installation, repair & maintenance of all types of plumbing work.
